PolyBrief is an AI-powered news intelligence platform that tracks global events and topics. We analyze thousands of news articles daily, grouping them into structured topics with AI-generated briefings, chronological timelines, and traceable source chains. Our goal is to help you understand what is actually happening — not just headlines.
Where does the news data come from?
We source news from NewsAPI.ai's Event Registry, which aggregates articles from thousands of publishers worldwide. We filter for relevance and article volume, then process events through our AI pipeline. All sources are traceable — you can expand any timeline entry to see the underlying news stories and articles.
How are briefings generated?
Briefings are generated by Claude (Anthropic's AI) using the timeline of news events for each topic. The AI synthesizes key developments, identifies the most significant stories, and writes a structured narrative. Briefings are tied to specific time periods so you can see what was known and when.
How often is content updated?
Topics are synced daily. New news events are fetched each morning, and the pipeline runs shortly after to update timelines and briefings for topics that received new coverage. Breaking news may have a delay of up to 24 hours before it appears in a topic's timeline.
What topics does PolyBrief cover?
We cover a broad range of global topics including geopolitics, conflict, elections, sports, entertainment, technology, science, finance, climate, and more. Each topic has dedicated tracking with its own briefings and timeline. You can browse all topics on the homepage.
Is PolyBrief free to use?
Yes — PolyBrief is currently fully free and open. All topic pages, briefings, and timelines are accessible without an account. We are in early access and building toward a sustainable model.
